Tecman are a leading advanced material converter and end-to-end manufacturing partner based in the West Midlands. They specialise in delivering value-added solutions for bonding, surface protection, acoustic management and thermal management and operate across a number of sectors, from automotive and wind power to life sciences and electronics.

 

There are a huge number of manufacturers and engineering firms involved in the automotive supply chain, offering the industry a huge range of highly specialised capabilities. This creates a competitive environment and makes standing out difficult, even for the most innovative businesses.

Challenge

Raise Tecman’s profile within the automotive sector to increase consideration amongst both in and out of market customers; and to strengthening its positioning as an innovative, end-to-end manufacturer, particularly for thermal management.

Solution

Using our knowledge of the automotive sector, and our expertise in profile raising, we identified media opportunities that aligned with Tecman’s significant, industry-leading capabilities to create natural brand and activation led opportunities to influence technical directors, product managers, testing engineers and other target audiences.

We identified and developed brand-led thought leadership and op-ed topics that would enable us to leverage Tecman’s knowledgeable in-house experts. These included discussion of international engineering collaborations and approaches in The Engineer to developing and testing automotive components in Automotive Testing Technology International. By-lined pieces like these provided target audiences with valuable insights and contrarian analysis of some of the major technical and strategic factors affecting the industry, strengthening Tecman’s positioning as a leading engineering firm.

We created product features and developed technical releases on thermal innovation to illustrate how Tecman develop bespoke innovations that push boundaries for their customers and to showcase the company’s impressive range of solutions. This coverage focused on providing technical depth and granularity to attract new leads in a way that supplemented and supported the more strategic industry insights secured through thought leader and op-ed PR.

To engage existing customers and support SEO activity, we created blog content to accompany each piece of media coverage. This content focused on specific features and benefits to communicate core marketing messages less suitable for editorial content.

We created case study content that communicated complex, technical information in way that would be accessible for important stakeholders in different job roles. This content was designed to influence those at the consideration stage of the customer journey by demonstrating Tecman’s capabilities in action.
