Healome Therapeutics is a UK based biotechnology company engineering and delivering microenvironments that help restore function in diseased and damaged tissue. The company is focused on ocular surface diseases but has also developed delivery technologies to improve the treatment of wounds and burn injuries.
Therapeutic approaches range from simple delivery and enhanced local retention of new or existing medicines, to delivery of microenvironments that can help steer the healing process and shape the local inflammatory environment.
Challenge
Healome wanted to develop a professional communications strategy to guide the company’s external messaging, raise awareness of the business amongst investor and industry audiences and create a professional digital presence that reflected their ambition and potential.
Solution
We created a bespoke 12-month communications strategy that segmented target audiences, codified positioning and created messaging themes for each major stakeholder, providing clarity and direction for the company’s external communications.
We helped position CEO Dr Richard Williams as an authoritative thought leader within the sector through a podcast interview discussing ways to rethink the biotech business model.
We raised awareness of the business and its progress by securing media coverage of the MHRA trial approval in leading sector outlets including European Pharmaceutical Manufacturer and the Clinical Services Journal.
We established a professional and authoritative online presence by creating regular, specialist content for the company’s LinkedIn and Twitter (X) channels that scored industry beating engagement rates of over 6%.
