2022 | Creating Investor Literature
Client
Pulse – EV was founded in 2020 with a mission to design and deliver the next generation of sustainable off-road vehicles, made in the UK. The team had spent three years developing an innovative chassis design and electric drivetrain, and already had successful prototypes in operation.
The vast majority of quad and all-terrain vehicles are imported and run on petrol and diesel engines. The major manufacturers are focused on the production of ICE vehicles, which coupled with long-term supply problems, means that the growing demand for sustainable alternatives is not being met.
To exploit the market opportunity and become the first British-made off-road EV manufacturer, the business set about raising its first major investment of £1.7m from angel and VC groups.
Challenge
Create new visually appealing, convincing piece of investor literature which gives the team at Pulse – EV a valuable tool to attract investor interest and communicate the scale of the lucrative off-road EV market opportunity.
Solution
We analysed the macro factors, such as the profitability of ICE models in non-EU markets, which demonstrated that the company was tapping into an underserviced, growing market – particularly in the agricultural sector.
We assessed the company’s technical and commercial strengths which indicated how well placed the business was to exploit this opportunity. These factors were used to create messaging that highlighted the de-risked nature of the business, the robust technical IP behind each vehicle and the strong go-to-market strategy that the team have put in place.
We created a new investor pitch deck with a persuasive market narrative and compelling technical information, that the management team could use for investor groups and networks, as well as directly with individuals and VC firms.
